What do I need to run Canon 350 thru laptop

Hi,

On the limited chances I've had to try out the new Canon 350 with the scope I'm finding it tricky to check focus, fiddle with all the settings on the camera.

What do I need to run the whole thing through a laptop - hardware (cables etc) and software???

thanks in advance for some kind replies (coz I realise it's a pretty basic question)

cheers

niko

For focusing: http://www.xmission.com/~jstanley/focusassist/
It can also be used for exposures.. up to 30 sec (at least this is what is possible for 400D)
For exposure and everything else: Iris http://www.astrosurf.com/buil/us/iris/iris.htm
or:

You will need cable for this.. easy to build, see above websites for schematic. Also here:
