Look what turned up today!

After a seven month wait , a Mallincam colour hyper plus finally arrived at my door! Will post pics when i get it going.
Anyone got any suggestions as what would be a good test?
Have a Meade lx200 8" , a 5" Mak and a William Optics 80mm flourite doublet to stick it on.
Sorry for any cloudiness!
Cheers , Leon.

Hi Leon,

Got your PM and yep mine turned up on the same day as yours. There would only be about 6 of these little colour beauties in the country now. I was lucky and only had to wait 5 months. The price we pay for custom made things. From what I have seen from images done with one on the Gold Coast we are in for some fun times. Hope you got a focul reducer to use with the scope. Try Eta Carina, Omega or Tuc 47 globs or M83 or M42. We have had cloud up here ever since I got mine and on Friday I am taking of on 2 weeks holiday with the family but that means another 2 weeks to try mine out .
P.S. Don't you love the little plastic tool box Jack packs these things in and the cap, magazine.

Matt.

I have taken the plunge and ordered a Hyperplus as well. I understand that you got your USB frame grabber from the imaging source. Do you recall the catalogue or part number?

Thanks

David

David,

Sorry I have not been able to respond to your Private e-mail as I have been camping for school holidays. I will be ordering the imaging source DFG/USB2-1t converter and the fire-wire one is DFG/1394-1E. I sent you the brochure via private e-mail, hopr you got it.

Matt.
