meade dsi ii colour and 3.3 reducer

i have a meade 3.3 reducer and meade II colour camera. Will the f ratio change if I use the right angle holder and insert the camera in the eyepiece holder as I want to use my pollution filter or should I just use it connected straight to the reducer. .
Regards
Kon

Hi Kon,
you should connect the camera straight to the reducer, without the diagonal. I think the diagonal will extend the light path a little too much and you may not be able to reach focus with the camera.

Doesn't the DSI II COlour come with a 1 1/4" nosepiece threaded for filters? My DSI II Pro did, although I use it with the 2" adaptor and the filter slide.

meade dsi

Hi floyd, thanks for the info, I will try with and without. The reducer has a 1/4 adapter on it as well but I think I will need to buy the adapters for the reducer as well according to the instructional sheet. Thanks for your comments.
regards
Kon
