late season Cat's Paw/Lobster mosaic in Ha

At home, my western-oriented field of view means I'm usually posting targets already done to death. Anyway, here's another mosaic in Ha while I'm experimenting with capture and processing workflows. This one is a 6 panel captured binned 2x2. As always, more data still needed for better S/N - I was hoping at normal viewing sizes it's not too bad.

We really like the composition! Lovely contrast between the textures of the two objects. Nice work.

And think of it as 11 months early, rather than one month late.

Cheers mate. Of course - PI all the way! Used CatalogStarGenerator to build the "scaffold" star field to align to, StarAlignment with distortion correction "on" to align the frames to it separately, then GradientMergeMosaic to bring it all together.

That's great Troy. Wide field images are the way to go.

Thanks guys. That's exactly what I'm loving about these mosaics. Got a big one (20 panels) in the pipeline at moment. Hope haven't bitten off more than I can chew there!
