Been awhile

Hi all .
Its been a while since I looked in but am considering a new scope for travelling and would like some opinions on this one.
National Geographic 90/1250 GOTO Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope. Any comments would help.
Cheers
Pete

the 90 mak's are really only good for looks on the bright objects, like moon, jupiter/saturn, and the dso like m42/carina neb. it does alright on dbl stars
you are paying a fair bit for the goto mount - you can buy more scope if you forego the little goto mount -i prefer a simple alt/az myself or a photo tripod handles the 90mm mak easily

how are you travelling & what are the size restrictions?

thanks for your comments dannat. Since my first post I went and bought it anyhow and found it fits just right. While not the best scope it will do for us amateurs just nice for now. The goto was the main reason for the purchase as we're not that flash at stargazing
We travel with a teardrop van so space is at a premium.
Cheers
Pete
