But sure , with a little study (and an ATPL) you can have the same endorsement...but admittedly the Airbus Industrie course at Toulouse in a little pricey
I only ever dropped some of the "rubber jungle" once...and that was well over 20 years ago on a B767. Once was enough.
I was privileged to have worked for 30 years with professionals who have time and again made QF the world's safest carrier. An amazing group of people IMHO.
As for the rubbery A380 arrival that was linked to....well...show me one as dramatic, but with Skippy on the tail, and I might be interested
Only time I ever was in an aircraft hit by strong crosswinds was in Oct 2015, at BNE.
1:30pm VA CBR to BNE. Plane touched down, and was taxiing to the terminal. Strong crosswinds that afternoon due a severe storm brewing. The gusts picked up, just after touch down. As a passenger, you could feel the plane getting shoved sideways by the wind.

An aeroplane is an aeroplane - I can think of a heck of s lot better aircraft to brag about in my log book than an A380... nothing as “big” but certainly better.
What exactly constitutes "better" Lewis? I have very fond memories of many
thousands of hours of flight time as a Flight Engineer/ supernumerary crew/
passenger in a variety of aircraft including the Avro Anson, DC3, Hastings[unpressurised tailwheel military version of the Hermes flown by
B.O.A.C.] Gloucester Meteor, Hunter T7, Blackburn Beverley, Canberra,
Valiant [V bomber], R.A.F. Comet, U.S.A.F. Globemaster [the 1950s version],
Viscount, Britannia, and quite a few more. Some were mundane aircraft,
some were very good, and a few were special, such as the superb Britannia
which arrived on the scene just as the jet age was ushered in, and hence didn't sell well. The Hunter was also a very fine aircraft that served with many airforces. I never flew in one, but the Harrier is/was from all accounts a very fine aircraft. Prior to the Britannia, the Viscount was a revelation; fast, and smooth as silk, and of course much quieter than its piston engined
predecessors.

Oh..pleeeese.
The A380 is the current "Queen of the skies" and I consider myself fortunate to have flown her....and yes, I could land it with finesse in a crosswind.
(and pro-tennis players can consistently return half-volleys ...comes with being professional...duh)
Types I always wanted to fly: Spitfire Mk I. Phantom F4. Concorde.....but maybe that's another conversation.....
Why? Is the paint dry?
