First Lagoon HOO+HOO

Not a patch on Fernando and good to see his example. Good to try this object.

About 26x3x3minute narrow band images with a few 5 and 2 minute in the mix. Adding RGB seems to make it all red as you can see in the second frame. Just cant seem to tone it down. It may be the background equalisation in DSS

I suspect I have to start again with better software than NEB4.

The data is really good Ray. Only processing from there on. Practice makes perfect.

Thanks Marc and Nik. I think I discovered that one of my problems may be that my darks are not dark. Must be a light leak in the OAG. I will have to redo the darks last with the camera off and the cap on.

Looks better here in HOO and HOGOB with minimal processing and less blown without the darks which is wrong.

The latest version looks great. Better colour balancing and contrast making the blend between the inner and outer regions more unified. A big improvement from the first. Well done.

Hi Ray,

Great images, all of them!!! I also had a hard time to tone down the color saturation in Pixinsight. When I first saw my final image, it was "too red" for me. But I could not do any better. But as I got used to it.

Regards, Fernando
