Imperial Pigeon

This shot was taken with a smartphone attached to a cheap 15mm EP with a 3x barlow, on an 80mm F6 triplet giving 96x. I have cropped the image to take out the telescope tunnel affect, as well as some distortion at the edge.

The Imperial Pigeons’ call is a long duration and deep, base like “moo”, which the pigeon calls out twice in succession. I guess it is calling its mate and they are often seen in pairs.

I took this today with my new Cannon mirrorless camera (M50). I used eyepiece projection with a 25mm ortho on a 80mm F6 ED.
