Hi All
The seeing came good for a few hours early this morning so took the opportunity to do some imaging of the planets.
Telescope was an Saxon 150mm f8 newtonian with it's very basic single speed focuser that needed a bit of work to eliminate most of the slop, mounted on an EQ6.
Camera was an ZWO 290mc , best 500 frames of 3000 processed in Registax. No other fancy processing software was used. I've done this mainly to show that you don't need expensive gear and hours of computer time to get acceptable images. Good collimation of the scope and good seeing are the most important requisites
You must have had good seeing to show so much detail from a 6 inch scope. Great result and inspiring for those who own scopes with smaller apertures. Thanks for posting!
Thanks guys. The one item I forgot to add was that of an 2.5X Powermate in the set up . I've tried using other barlow lens just to see what differences there are between them and the Powermate is by far the better option for amplifying the the image scale.

They both are very good examples of the mighty gas giants. Fine detail coming through and the GRS taking front stage looks good. Would be nice to see if the cast could be adjusted to bring out more colour or tone the yellow down perhaps.

Thanks for the feedback guys have tried to tone down the yellow caste, must be my eyes as they don't look that yellow on my monitor but when uploaded they seem to change in the balance.
