A new view of Eta Car

Imaging has been lacking lately due to cloud and storms here, now with the moon about it makes it just that little bit trickier. Clear skies last night was good but a temp here of 28 at midnight wasn't the greatest, though I was able to keep the sensor around 32-33 mark.
Guiding was good and kept the scope facing the other way to the moon light which helped.

I took 75 subs in total but DSS dropped 2 subs as I had it set to keep 98% best, a couple times the wind picked up which could be seen on PHD2. Had dithering going to minimise hot pixels left after stacking.

In the end:
73 x 180 sec
Darks
Bias

I've added a smaller version for here and full size in dropbox (96mb)

Nice work Karl. Good to see the Reds haven't completely washed out the blue around the keyhole.

Karl a great attempt considering the high temperatures, it seems a little dull overall however with the conditions you mentioned a top effort indeed.

Keep at it, my friend, you are on your way.

Thanks Ryan and Leon.

Now you mention it Leon it does look a little dull overall but I am happy how much detail I got this time around.
