Jupiter's Red Spot Splitting??

Below is an interesting thread from Cloudy Nights with an observation from last night (US time), which suggests that the Great Red Spot may have split into 2 parts.

In the latest pictures posted by Damian Peach and Anthony Wesley,show a dark and enlarging spot in the middle,but don't know about splitting?

After staying up well past my bedtime; it looks normal to me also. (Used Tak 100, 148x).
