Astrofest M20

Got some time today to brush up on my PI processing. Here's M20 from Astrofest taken with my SN10 and QSI683 on the EQ8. A total of 67 subs and just under 4 hours total integration.

The full res version is here:

Comments/advice welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Nice - looks like some good detail in the dusty parts. Maybe some noise reduction in the darker background sky?

Very nice, stars look good right to the edge, the Paracoor works well on the 10 inch SN

Thanks Geoff. I think the auto focus was working better this year.

Cheers Rob. There's a good chance colour mask was involved

Thanks Mike. I've had a few attempts at M20 and this would be the one I'm most happy with in terms of the colour. I gave the photometric colour correction process a try this time.

Cheers for the feedback Troy. I'll take another look at the background this weekend.

Thanks. Yes I'm much happier with the star shape this year. I think the heavier focuser has helped to keep things aligned. The paracor seems to work well and I also have an MPCC mkIII that I'll try some time as this does not have the barlow effect that the paracor has.

Cheers Wes. That's not all we do in those tents.

Thanks Pete. I'm happy with how it turned out and it is nice to know the SN10 is capable of producing a good result if the collimation can be properly adjusted.

Cheers Rodney. I've always found the blue nebulosity tricky in M20 but I'm happy with this one.

Another great image. To have 10 days must be fantastic. Of course I'd take 8 days to get my mount going........
