Space X Falcon Heavy static test successful

Space X is one step closer to launching Falcon Heavy as a result of the successful static test fire yesterday at the Cape.

Can’t wait to watch this modern day behemoth lift off in the next week or so

I remember watching the first Saturn 5 launch ( unmanned Apollo 4 ) in 1967 on my parents black and white TV set

No one believed at the time it would ever get off the ground (even the NASA engineers were sceptical )

If Falcon Heavy launches successfully and achieves orbit, it becomes the most powerful man made machine in over 40 years to reach space

Another feather in Elon Musk’s cap

The launch is scheduled for 6 feb at this stage I believe. I'm looking forward to it although it sounds like the hopes aren't high for it to achieve orbit. Still, it might make one hell of a fireworks display

Yes, latest launch date is 6th Feb ( Tuesday) as of today

Can’t wait to watch the live feed from pad 39A at the Cape

I really hope they succeed and hit orbit as it accelerates their plans to return to the Moon and prepare for early unmanned trips to Mars in the next couple of years

Good luck Space X !!

Is any body else interested in the launch next week ??

A fine example of humankind applything themselves to greater things. I was born a little too late to witness the achievements of the 70's

The space race era of the 60’s and early 70’s was truly a magical time as a kid growing up where impossible things were made possible.

Let’s hope the next 10 to 20 years achieve even greater things in space exploration

I can’t wait for next Tuesday’s launch !!

What a spectacular successful launch of Falcon Heavy and what amazing live views of the Tesla car with dummy astronaut on board

Personally a waste of money sending a car into Mars orbit but hey Space X can do what the hell they want after launching the most powerful rocket in the world today ( without a glitch )

BFR is the next challenge !!
