Where did my cloned disc go please??

Hi guys, I have just cloned my HHD and it seemed that the procedure went smoothly.

When I started to do this two discs were available to me, my original HHD and the target disc.

After cloning I cant see the target disc anymore, so how do i know if it was cloned successfully.

I intend to take it out of the desktop and shelve it anyway, but i would like to see if it actually copied the original.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't know what process you used to clone the drive but I'm guessing that Windows ( ?? ) is a little confused but the two drives being the same.

You should remove the original drive and re-boot the machine, you will know if your plan was a success, then you can just put the old drive back in and store the clone.

thanks Ed, that was the plan until everything went west with the Desktop refusing to boot up at all.

You need to take one of those clones drives out. Might sort your booting issue.

Nick it has been removed a little while ago, hasn't made any difference though.
