Online Shopping is Booming

I was talking to the folks at Better Music today about an order I had placed with them that was not dispatched with their regular speed, it seems that they have "been inundated" with orders in the last two weeks and are struggling to service all the customers wanting new music gear. This makes sense, people are stuck at home, looking for things to do to keep busy, how about learning that instrument you always wanted to give a try., or that new AMP, guitar, whatever. If your not a musician it is actually pretty easy to take music lessons on the internet these days. You might be exploring other indoor pursuits, online gaming, etc.
If your lucky enough to have some sort of job security, working from home, retirees forced to stay at home, etc, why not makes use of this time to learn something new.

So what are you doing to ward off cabin fever?

Update: I see Bunnings is now selling home exercise equipment: cross trainers, exercise bikes, rowing machines, and treadmills. You can order online on their website and it gets delivered to your house.

If I buy another bass I will be dead (at the hands of my dearly beloved).... given the reason I might buy one at present, will that count as a Covid 19 Stat do you think?

Seriously though, learning to play an instrument, taking an online course, etc.. are an excellent idea to stave off the 'cabin fever' of being stuck at home...

There are all sorts of courses available from things that are just plain fun to serious educational courses that result in qualifications... if you're stuck for something to do.. just google 'online courses' & see what pops up that takes your fancy...

Great idea Glen

I'd love to be out imaging, but currently in a state of limbo selling old gear to get new gear. Shame really, Melbourne has had some cracking nights lately.

Other than that - have picked up the guitar a lot more these past few weeks. Plenty of time looking up 'dream' astro gear as well

My home brew shop is 400% up on business but it's all non contact. Everything is via couriers

$20 to get 25kg of grain across the river to my house is a bargain.

I have a Gibson J35 and a custom strat with texas special pickups here but we can't go anywhere with them

So lets make beer and music right here, seems to be the go here

I have a 40 year old Fylde Goodfellow hand made acoustic I pick up every day has the zero fret that was popular back in the day and has lovely tone, I think playing an instrument is something everyone should be encouraged to do......

Andrew, that only works if one has the proper co-ordination to play.
I know from hard learned experience, I don't.

Jenifur it doesn’t matter how good or bad you are at playing an instrument it’s just the fact of playing one, There are many different instruments go at some requiring more discipline than others, You can have lots of fun with a single Tom Tom drum

I had the house to myself last night, so I thought it would be a good idea to fire up my JCM Marshall and SG Gibson. You know, pump out a few Acca Dacca, Rose Tattoo and Angles tunes. Seems the neighbours are not into rock! The police were so kind and the young spunkie constable asked for some lessons.
