Modifications to a GSO 10" Dob

I just thought I would share some modifications to a GSO 10" Dobsonian
My General requirements were
1 Add wheels for mobility
2 Lighten the rocker box if possible
3 Add custom EP holder
4 Add holder(s) to tube to make it easier to move
5 Add balancing magnets to the tube
6 Enable multiple finders
7 A bit of style and colour

I was lucky enough to buy the scope from a fellower ICE member with board and castor style wheels. Then I lightened the rocker box buy removing structurally excess wood particle board from its 3 vertical sides. Next a platform for some eyepieces. All the tube modifications will be done when its safe to return to Victoria. Plus I love the colour Red rather than Black!

Very nice, gives me something to think about for mine. Especially love the extra ep holders!

P.s how do you found the bearings? Mine dont seem to fit snugly in the U cut out. So even when locked they rock a bit.

Cheers

Greg
