Help with new scope

Hi, I've just set up my brand new Celestron 925 Edge HD on CGX mount.
I have a 2" diagonal attached to the rear of my scope, but I can't see anything - it's all blurry. When I remove the eyepiece, I can see clearly through the telescope, but with the eyepiece (23mm), it's all blurry, even when I adjust the focus on the eyepiece. Am I missing something? I followed all instructions very carefully! Thank you!

I can think of two possibilities. How far away is whatever you're trying
to focus on? it won't focus very close.
I wonder if the scope has a primary mirror lock of some kind that is
used when the scope is in transit.
Does the focusing knob turn many turns to a positive stop in both
directions?

Likely the mirror is not in position to focus for that EP. Slightly loosen off the mirror locking bars, the two cone shaped knobs. Yhis will allow the focuser to mive the orimary in or out to achieve focus. What sort of diagonal is it, the one that cane with the scope and scews on the back?
I seem to recall it can take up to 20 rotations of the focuser to move the prmary from full back to focus. As you don't know exactly where the primary is currently positioned your going to need to experiment. I suggest a star test, wind the focuser out andcsee what happens to the star. If it gets larger then reverse the focus direction and wind it in as long as it keeps heading towards good sharp focus.
I suggest you learn how to make a Duncan Mask, a good collimation aid for SCTs. You will likely need to collimate the scope.

Yes the mirror was out of position. I turned the nobs and I can see now.
It's the diagonal that comes with the scope.

tomorrow I will collimate and will also align the finder. I read that it's better to align the finder in the daytime when it's easy to pick out an object about a mile away.

The Nexstar two-star alignment seemed way out when I tried it, I was facing polar south (I think I was!) and I selected Australia-Gold Coast- and put in correct date and time - but when it went slewing to "acrux" it pointed in another direction entirely! Same when I chose Hadar.

God no please don't suggest to a total noob that they attempt to futz with collimation. The likely result will be a trip to Bintel to fix whatever done in ignorance.

Mark the only things you should attempt at this stage are

1. Run the focusser through its entire range. It's a lot of turns I know but eventually you will find focus.

2. Align the finderscope on some distant target.

3. Don't force any of the knobs. If they stop rotating there is a reason and force will damage or break something.

Enjoy your new toy under nice skies and learn what it can do.

One possibility for the poor Go To, is entering the date the American way
or vice versa, depending upon which way it requires it.
The collimation is quite possibly o.k. I'd get your other problems
sorted before even checking it.

I made sure that I entered the date correctly... I couldn't put it in as DDMMYYYY so I put it in as MMDDYYYY.

Ok won't worry about collimation *yet* but I'll concentrate on finderscope and focus tomorrow.

I keep telling myself that one day I'll remember the frustration and difficulties!

It turns out that the lens inside of my eyepiece was put in the wrong way. That's how I got it. By turning the lens around, lo and behold, I can actually see through my scope!

I was troubleshooting step by step. I could see clearly without the eyepiece but not with it, so I knew there was something up with it. I cleaned the outer lenses, but it was still obscure, so I dismantled it and saw the lens inside and I tried turning it around just as a process of elimination. Bingo! I saw my target.
