Bretti New Moon

Is there any takers for a few days at Bretti for the September New Moon? Good time of year weather permitting of course. Was thinking maybe from the 25th to the 28th. No school holidays so should be not too many revellers or light polluters. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Yeah Geoff that doesn’t look good. I didn’t think of that. Oh well might look to go later then. Just can’t seem to coordinate times these days. Maybe the PC???

school breaks up on the 27th and you were proposing to head home on the 28th anyway.
I can't see how that would be a problem?

Yeah Allan is right, but I would suggest going earlier if you can. That giant mob from Newcastle, that we ran into one year about this time, had obviously sent out an advance party to secure their favourite spot (which was our preferred spot too). That group had a big circus tent in the centre, with portable shower trailers, and lots of LED lights at night.
There is a refuge flat spot above the valley floor on the south side near the big tree but maybe hard to manage with your van, and the LEDs travel along way.

Geez that's terrible. What are the cows drinking, or do they get their water from vegetation? No bathing off the causeway now. We're you there Al?

Stopped down by the first causeway. Near the fancy new toilets.☺
Only 8 campers.
Plenty of space.
Just stopped one night on way north.
Travelling north coast.
Currently in Port Macquarie.
Previously Apsley Gorge.
Absolutely jaw dropping.
Probably home Wednesday.
No fires.
Weather has been good.
Hope it is good for new moon campers.
Cheers
