Colour Space settings on Nikon DSLR

Has anyone tried a comparison between the "colour space" settings on their DSLR to find the best colour for astrophotography?
My Nikon D50 has the following choices
• IIIa (sRGB - more green for colourful landscapes) default *
• Ia (sRGB)
• II (Adobe RGB)
It appears that the last 2 would probably be better for astro use, I notice that the "industry-standard" Canon 350D has 2 options
• sRGB
• Adobe RGB
which probably are similar to the last 2 Nikon options.
Can anyone enlighten me with their comparison results ?
Thanks in advance

I only use sRGB on my D200. Here's why - http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/adobe-rgb.htm
If you're unsure, do a test print of each to see which looks better for you.

Adobe RGB comes out a lot more saturated for me on my D50.
