Lightbulb Review: Astrovid Voyager X - Planetary Camera

Hi all

I had this camera on loan back in June/July, but only recently got around to putting my review on paper. This is a review of the (relatively) new Astrovid Voyager X Planetary Camera. You can read and see how it stacks up against my DMK21AF04.

See the review at the IceInSpace Reviews page, or directly by clicking on the link below:

I must be a bit slow, the DMK images looked better than the astrovid. Why is this? Sure hey were slightly smaller. In what way was the DMK more sensitive?

cheers

The DMK images were slightly smaller, and sometimes that in itself can make images look sharper.
The DMK is more sensitive because of the larger pixel size - allowing more light in for a given exposure time.

Mike, one quick thing - the Dragonfly Express is 10bit, and the Dragonfly2 is 12 bit.

cheers, Bird

Is the pixel size the size of a receptor on the ccd chip?

cheers
