some fun with the polarie

this little toy is brilliant. i did some 1min shots using the 60D and my 10mm sigma lens..... well you be the judge. i used the polar scope for the first time - it needs a light. overall i had a ball filling in time while Stephanie was at ranger guides

Could you have gone for longer? Especially with the fisheye.

Was that on full stellar tracking or half-tracking speed?

yeah i coud have but light pollution extinction would have killed the sky, i think with that lens and the polar alignment i could have gone for two minutes per shot.

i might try that again later, but set the f stop to say f11 and then run it for 3 min then 2 and see the difference.. it was full sidereal

Nice use a some spare time.

I like the trails in the water.
I haven't tried my polar scope out yet, would having a torch or red light handy help you think?

Cool, looks like you caught a meteor or satellite (Iridium ?) in the last frame as well.
But I'd be having a chat to the strange gentleman that keeps trying to interupt you all the time.... bit of a photo hog methinks ...
