Dsi Camera

What a great w'end at Lostock although a bit to hot.

Thanks to those who gave me help with the DSI over the weekend, I really appreciate the assistance and advice.

Now I am after solutions to the problem of that damn "short" USB cable that comes with the DSI.

I have tried a high speed USB 2.0 (passive) extension cable but the laptop objects to the slowness of the speed and tells my to upgrade to faster hardware.

Has anybody trialled an "Active" USB extension cable or does anybody know of a "wireless device" that could be used?

I am aware that the camera needs to be powered and oriiginally is powered through the laptop therefore an external supply would be required.

Any thoughts or ideas or advice on the subject warmly welcomed.

Arthur

Hi Arthur. I have used a powered USB2 hub with no problems at all.
