***Photos & PRICE REDUCTION***

A couple of photos. The box was designed for a 18" so the tube rotates within it, very convenient. As a great Xmas present for someone, I've dropped the price to A$1300, plus transport.

my thought on why no takers and I think Asimov on SA has had the same trouble with his beautiful parkes mirror 12.5" tube.

Most newbies have access to a good (not great like your and asimovs) dobs starting at $500 for an 8" and then $1000 for a 12".

I can't see a newbie being experienced enough to recognise the value of a 13.1" coultier mirror and benefits for an extra $200.

As for non noobies, the 16" is beckoning next year and I believe there will be a big lot of 8,10,12" dob having to be flogged off next year to make way for it. The suppliers will be having heaps of concern re stock levels of 8" - 12"

If I knew what I know now, I would snaffle your unit, but I already have my 10" and next upgrade will be the 16"

The chinese product is unfortunately making it very difficult for guys with great scopes!

It isn't that those newer to astronomy don't appreciate the quality of this kind of gear, It's often "Bang for Buck" I for one would be quite interested if the timing were a little better for me and it wasn't so far away - the freight on astro gear to Cairns is ( if you'll pardon the pun ) astronomical.

Yep. I could have bought 2 X 12" GS dobs for the price of my optics.
