Bretti November New Moon Astro-campover

Just putting it out there again for anyone interested in a few days at Bretti this November.
All Welcome.
No experience necessary.

[Bretti Reserve is a NSW Free Camp site with plenty of room and dark skies.
30k North of Gloucester (the nearest town of any size).
It is camping, so facilities are few. Drop toilets, several covered picnic tables, 2 rivers (Manning and Barnard) provide cooling swims and wash water (not recommended for drinking). BYO everything else.]

New moon is Thursday 8th November. That gives us over three weeks to organise time off with bosses or partners. (or invite them too).

I probably would look to arriving Wednesday 7th. Departing sometime on the weekend 10-11). Come for a week, or come for a night. It's completely informal.

Due to consistent poor weather around New Moons, it has been well over 12 months since we last managed a Bretti stayover. This may be the last chance before the weather gets too hot.

Weather dependant of course.

Expressions of "cautiously interested" sought.

(not much to do during days, may look to organise a golf day at Gloucester if anyone interested)

I think I'm with Geoff on this one. Just the chance to get away right now sounds perfect.

Got my reclining chair at the ready...

I can't pick a winner!!

We're off to NZ and cruising back, leaving early on 10th. Timing too tight for me. Looks like we'll have to meet up sometime in the new year.

BTW - went to Qld visiting friends and the GC600 last week - if you know how that ended up, with my luck I'm probably doing you all a favour and taking the weather with me to the long white clouds.

Good luck, good viewing and have fun.

Either way, Wayne, it sounds like a nice trip.

If you decide to risk the trip, I'm sure there will be a spot reserved for you on the grass.

It is looking like lousy weather again for next week. Can we ever get a break from all this #$@^ing cloud.

Yep. Every day it seems to get worse.
Hardly seems to be worth the effort at the moment.
Clouds, rain, storms, temperature high 30's, high humidity.
To quote Robin Williams:
"It's gonna be hot and wet! That's nice if you're with a lady, but it ain't no good if you're in the jungle."
According to 7timer, the 1pm temperatures Mon to Fri: 36; 38; 35; 8; 22. _

Apologies all but I can't make it this time even if weather is favourable.
