Jupiter at opposition

Had a great couple of hours last night with Jupiter. The great red spot was present, along with a transit of moon Europa. Seeing was the best in ages giving me the best still I've taken to date I think. As a bonus, I took a series of frames to make a video of the rotation but it's too big to attach here.

Details. --> 6000 frames (2000 each for RGB) ZWO ASI 183mm Pro, Deforked Meade LX90 ACF 8" F10 SCT on an HEQ5 Pro. Capture rate was about 100fps.

Very nice image, maybe a tad over saturated. Is fascinating to watch the Red Spot unravelling and the dark red / brown gas clouds streaming away. Just did visual on Jupiter last night, seeing was supposed to be bad going by the forecast but in reality it wasn't too bad at all.

Thanks guys. I didn't increase saturation on this. It's the way it came out.

That's a super Jupiter. I don't know much about planetary - is 60 sec (if my maths is correct) short enough the avoid problems with rotation

When i look at the image again the colour doesn't look so saturated as before, must be my eyes. most of the Jupiters that I've posted have tended to be too yellow so my eyes / monitor have probably got something to do with my colour perception.
Still a nice image Kevin and Chris, Jupiters rotation should not matter much if video files are less than 4 or 5 minutes long. Something like an 5000 frame video grab at 50 fr / sec. is only 100 seconds long.

The GRS is very red in your image. It is redder than mine and I do add some saturation (perhaps without much judgement in my case). But you may just have less crap above you than many of us and so get the colors better. I often have a bit of fog or high cloud and wood smoke!
