The barred core of our Milky Way

The Milky Way was rising and showing its core later in the night when I took this image.

Its approx. 8 x 30 seconds ISO 1600 Canon EOS R (stock) and tracked with a Fornax Lightrack ii mount.

Taken at my dark site whilst my CDK was imaging.

A well presented Milky Way Greg. Nice to be able to run off some wide field images whilst the main rig is working away.

Thanks Rodney.

Its good time to take some Milky Way images whilst the rig doesn't need any attention.

Greg.

Fantastic image, Greg. Well done. The Sigma 14mm lens is sharp, even at the edges!

Cheers,
Richard
