50 years since the FIRST SCOUTS ON THE MOON
Commemorative Scout badge sets on a presentation cards

There are two sets of Scout badges commemorating the Moon landing in 1969, fifty years ago. Armstrong and Aldrin were both Scouts, as were 11 of the 12 Moon walkers and most astronauts since.
Set A: Special commemorative Set of 3 badges on a display card @ AU$18 each
Set B: Special commemorative single badge on a display card @ AU$9.50 each
Badge descriptions:
- Earth, Moon, Sun and stars with "Scouts on the Moon" and dates 1969 - 2019
- "50" using crescent Moon and New Moon (or eclipse), stylised Scout badge and dates 1969-2019
- Footprint of astronaut (my favourite)
Text on presentation card (both types) reads:
"On 20 July 1969, two Scouts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, took their first steps on the surface of the Moon. This commemorative badge celebrates their remarkable achievement, as well as those who followed in their footsteps. In total, 11 of the 12 people who walked on the Moon, were Scouts. Their shining example is a testament to the skills, courage and determination shown by Scouts everywhere."
Produced by The UK Scout Association for the Scouts of the World.
Mint condition, woven design, each 54 mm diameter (one truncated). Sent with protective cardboard.
Postage costs for one set (multiple sets will depend on the total mass):
- AU$2.20 to Australia
- AU$3.30 to the rest of the World
