ETA Carina Repo

Hi All,

Taken some downtime based on cloud cover and the moon glow to repo some image. After looking at the amount of purple in the ETA in this post, I came up with better colour and detail rendering.

As always after a long hiatus since I have been broke the bank and purchased Startools and after an initial fiddling came up with this job. I may have overdone the HDR but it looks nice.

Just modded my HEQ EQ5 Pro with belt mod, hope to see some improvements at least with the operation, definitely quieter.

Enjoy

Nice detail, but I wonder what is the balance of L to RGB data? I understand maybe this is the look you're going for, but to me it feels like the colour channels don't quite have enough data to fill out the areas where the L data is?

Best,

Markus

Thanks for the comments, vast improvement, This is an unmodded 450D so it is OSC camera, I am not ready to do any splitting and create luminance channels as yet. I may consider this in the future when I gain more experience.

For me, I will always improve the looks as I go, as it is a learning curve. I always keep the data in the hope I may come back to them again in the future.

I think my next step in imaging is CLS filter or something else to get more data. I may look into creating a luminance channel in the near future when I know how.

Cheers

Malcolm
