Great work!
Eta Carina is my current work in progress ... I'll be happy if it ends up looking like that!

Hi Kosh,

Well done. I really like the framing in this image. The angle and centering draws your attention to the dark channel next to the keyhole rather than the normal keyhole centre. It gives the image depth and you’ve achieved good contrast with subtle saturation. Nice work

Cheers

Ryan

Thanks for your kind words guys. I am trying some different things and it could use more data.

I'm not certain which colour palette i like best with this one. Many use a more magenta as I have done in the past, but doing a photometric colour calibration just seemed to lead me to a more copper look to it. Background looks awesome on my Mac, but a bit Meh on my PC monitor

Also first time tryng star reduction so there may be some artifacts, but I can't bear to look at it with the full stars now that i've seen it this way!

I look forward to adding to this with a Ha filter, but the weather here in Melbourne making it hard.

Lovely detail coming through in this shot. Must have had your focus spot on to take advantage of some good seeing that night I expect. Well done and nicely processed.

Thanks. I used ISO800, my other settings such as white balance is all pretty much default.
