Centaurus A, to go with my three versions of M83 and NGC 4945. :-)

If you have a Windows based computer hit F11 to go to full screen
mode first. Warning: images are 300k - 500k in size

Wow Mike, first class! I can't choose between those!

The mono looks great, but the negative appears to show more detail. The colour version is very pretty.

Awesome stuff. Very well done.

What's the focal length used in these?

Great image Mike
So is the EDF scope the one from the Downer Club ?.
Nice scope if it is , I borrowed it some years ago was too slow for film imaging but seems to do the job for CCD.

Wow Mike,

Exceptional, I like all of them and usually B & W doesn't do anything for me.

These are fantastic, heaps of detail, almost makes Centaurus A look like two very seperate objects, an eliptical Galaxy many light years away and a dark neb infront of it in our own Galaxy. Interesting.

Thanks guys

Glad you lot enjoyed my rehashed images

The FL of the AP152EDF is just 1140mm so these shots of Cen A are cropped from the original fame which you can see the size of in this negative version I posted to my web site last night. I have pushed this image (hence the little bit of noise) to show the outer halo of the galaxy while still retaining the detail in the dust lane:

I saw your shots earlier but was walking out the door and could not compliment you on them. I think they are really something I live for the day I could get somewhere close to this.. I could not get over the detail

It was meant to be a joke to see if anyone notices, oh well, was worth a try.

Good luck with the paper Mike
