Marriage

Marriage is like a phone call in the middle of the night ... first there's the ' Ring ' ....then you ' wake up '

Q. Why do married men die on average, 10 years sooner than their wives?

A. Because they want to.

Well I was going to say something like the protective effects of estrogen, but I like your reason better

Well, I'd die for my wife... though I suspect she'll probably kill me first...

Divorced from my ex for the last seven years ( after 32 years married) i am delightfully happy, able to pursue my own agenda, say what I like without being edited. I enjoy my own company, and am free to sit out in the observatory all night. Not all marriages are good ones, and not all wives are gems. Congratulations to those that found a gem.

Great points Glend
I'm 8 years now into my second marriage and everything great.
A few early compromises and we both have our space and not feel guilty about it.
I think thats why its working.
Without that timeout there comes guilt and jealousy from each side and if not worked out this seems to get worse after time.
No more rolls of the eyes anymore when I say im just going outside have a quick look at the stars!

Third time round for me (!!??) - I'm a slow learner.........

I say Sue didn't marry me for the money or good looks they had gone long before.

I now only have three passions in life:
My wife. My spectroscopy. My solar observing.
