Uluru Milky way

Here's an Uluru nightscape image that I took last week while I was there. Not being allowed to enter the national park at night meant I had to find a high spot some distance from Uluru.

So for this panoramic image there are 54 individual images, each shot at 135mm focal length with 50% overlap between images. I had plans to originally include the Southern Cross and the Eta Carina nebula, but it didn't all go to plan, so this is how it is

The bands of red and green airglow that you see here, were in the original RAW images... it is not artificially constructed, It blew me away when i saw how it came out.

The slight illumination of the foreground of Uluru was from the setting moon to the right of the image.

Modified Sony a7s,
Samyang 135mm F2 lens @F2

Cheers,
Josh
