Sorry to hear that Geoff.
Hope you (and your red wagon) are back to full strength soon.

As for me, I am still planning on a Tuesday to Friday camp.
Locked and loaded.

Wish I could too.

This work thing is getting bothersome. Always in the way of my entertainment.

I hope that those who venture up have an excellent time of it.

Absolutely fantastic 4 day (night) event.
Beautiful dark skies every night
Very little dew if any.
Learnt a lot about Argo Navis (what a great system )
Great company (thanks Geoff and Jakob)

It was perfect (until supplies ran dry)

Already talking about October new moon.

Sorry I missed it Gents. Sounds like it was a great trip with the dark sky and no dew.
Van now back on the road, but the back is still very sore and I am having time off work. Chipped tooth ended up being a cracked tooth. $1700.00 later for a Crown, I can chew on it again.
I wont make the next one in October either, Karen and I are celebrating 30 yrs marriage this year and going away for a holiday.

Congratulations, Geoff! Have a nice time away.

Nothing worse than tooth pain, I can attest. I have had wisdom teeth feel like they are drilling into my brain, and I have had one of my incisors busted apart playing basketball. Even a snapped ankle didn't hurt as much.

I think for the next 3 months, I am chained to the local area. Work is about to ramp up, so if I can get away at all it will be a bonus.

Failing that, you may need to sort out a grab & go scope, and a comfortable recliner, from which to use it!

Geoff, i think this rig would be ideal for Bretti, and just add a cup holder for the Port:

I was amazed at what a search for "binocular chair" turns up, but it has to be GOTO and there are not many of those. Looks like it would fit in your van.

Must be happy in retirement these days. More time on his hands to think about symmetry. LOL.
