Hi,
My mate Adam and I are off on a road trip with all our scopes to Lake Coolmundra caravan park which is about 400Km south West of the Sunshine Coast. I see people who do this regularly on this forum and was wondering if you have a procedure in terms of image acquisition to maximise the time out there.
I will be running my SBIG 8300 through 140mm scope and wonder if my primary goal should be to get Luminance data due to the new moon phase as well as RGB data and avoid any Narrow band. Or concentrate on RGB with 1x1 binning and Ha for the targets that would be suitable. Maybe these a pointless questions because you can image any way you want but thought I would ask others what their thoughts are.
I also run the scope using Cartes du Ciel and see people posting images of things like "shapeless catalogue etc and wonder can you put them into CdC ?
Thanks
Mark Bateman
