Heads up Perth watchers. Annular eclipse times.

Fo us over here the annular eclipse (26th Jan. 2009) will begin with:
  • 1st contact at 16:01 WADST,
  • maximum contact at 16:55 WADST (22%),
  • last contact at 17:56 WADST. (StarryNight Pro 6).
Should be good.

Lucky Melbourne gets 0.4% (6:55 EDST)and Darwin best at 41.6% (7:04 Darwin time).

Hopefully pics will be comming.

Interesting, I must have Cdc set-up wrong, It shows first contact at 5:01pm.
Just checked the Jan issue of Aus. S&T(pg58), says 5.01pm too, inc. DST.

You are correct. My program had reverted itself back to standard time without my noticing. Don't you love computers!

To all readers please add one hr to times above for daylight savings were applicable.

hehe
The DST thing does my head in each time.
I can never remember if I have changed the setting in Cdc to UTC +9 or not, or back to +8 again when DST is over, find I keep checking it, and the pc's clock.
