The diagram looks as if they are using the IS to move the optics for tracking rather than the sensor as the text states.
I'm pretty sure Pentax came out with a "track the stars by moving the sensor" scheme a couple of years ago.

Funny that, we, Doug (dugasuz) and myself were having a general chat about the future of imaging a few of years ago and I suggested that maybe in the future the Camera will just do all the work, and all we have to do is point it in the right direction.

Well how knows hey !!! the tread is in here somewhere making point of that possibility

Yes what happened with the Pentaxs ? , seemed a great idea but I can't recall anyone having much success with it .

Its a great idea and I hope all makers do it. I remember seeing a post on this forum about 3 months ago of someone using a Pentax and this system. It seemed to work.
