Taking flats for QHY-9 Mono.

Hi,

I'm just coming to an end of a run and was wondering how do you go about taking flats for a QHY-9. Do I have to take flats for each of the LRGB cannels?

Hi Paul,

So would I also have the flats for the 1x1 binning and then the 2x2 binning for each colour?

That's right. 'fraid you can't get away from it. Each time you change a filter you change the optical train in some way, even if each filter was exactly identical optically you still have dust on a filter that most likely isn't there on others. Yes, binning also has an impact that needs to be accounted for.

Yes, the image size of the flats should match the lights.

I hope you can turn the intensity of your light box down. Flats of under 2 seconds exposure will show wierd artifacts from the shutter.
