Anyone here in West Wimmera area?

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone lives around western victoria and wants to catch up.
Over the last 10 years I've slways lived too far from astro societies or clubs so its always diy.
My closest to here is Snake Valley 280 km or Tooperang 370 km in SA which makes a casual visit prettty hard.
There might be some closer but haven't found them so far.
Planning to go to Snake Valley in October but that's only 2 times a year.
Without a site like IIS i would be totally on my own and probably loose interest so technically this has become my astro club.
Anyway if anyone is around the area and would like bortle 1 skies (in between cloud and fog) we have 10 acres here so plenty of room to set up.
Cheers
Andy

Hello Andy,
You're pretty close to the Little Desert Nature Lodge where the annual VicSouth Desert Spring Star Party is held. You might still be able to book for this year - it's coming up soon.

Well it looks like im here by myself and my sheep and they're not that interested in my telescope.
Might have to start my own club when the observatory is finished.
