Canon EOS Utility 2.14

Hi All,

I have a Canon 70D and it came with some software disks, which included the EOS Utility Version 2.14.

I now have a new computer and would like to install the original Canon Software on to the new computer. I have misplaced my original disks as a result of 2 house moves. Unfortunately I can't find anywhere on the Canon Australia, Canon US, or Canon UK websites where I can download the full version of this Utility from. I can find downloads for the 2.14.2 updater, but you need the full version installed on your computer before you can run the updater. I can also find full downloads of version 3 which is for the more recent Canon Cameras and I don't think works with the 70D.

Can anyone please direct me to a link where I can download the full Version 2.14 Canon EOS Utility from, or failing that, be happy to post me a DVD of the software, or upload to DropBox or similar?

HHEEEELLLLPPPPPPPPPP !!!!

Cheers

If you can't find or borrow original disk, have a look here:

After sorting out registry, you can simply download software from canon website and install it like upgrade..

Hi John

Have a look here:

or here:

This is for the Canon EOS Digital Solutions Disc 29 which lists EOS Utility 2.14.xx

Yep, just sent John a PM with a similar link Dennis and pointed to that file.

In the meantime I'll have a look if I have a CD.

I really appreciate the help guys. I finally got to the bottom of this fiasco.

The problem is that this older version of the software is not compatible with Windows 10. Whenever I went to the support pages it was auto detecting that I was running windows 10 and then excluding this software from available downloads. I figured this out when I followed RB's link and he directed me to the top line and described it. I wasn't seeing that and I decided to change the windows version in the checkbox to "7" and the link then became visible.

A pretty ordinary effort on Canons part considering the number of very good cameras still out there that need this older software version, which is "supposedly" not 100% compatible with Windows 10, which is now the predominant operating system worldwide.

Cheers

Thanks for the offer Chris. I was able to get it all resolved with the links the guys provided. I do have my disks "somewhere". But I remember when we were unpacking at this new house I saw them and thought "I won't need these because I can download the updated versions anyway" and I then remember storing them somewhere that wasn't readily accessible. I could have even put them into a box and put them up in the loft space above the ceiling. Unfortunately I have a lot of boxes up there and to get them down and go through all of them looking for a disk, is a major mission and they may not even be there. I am in the process of building an external garage / workshop and when I get that completed all the boxes will come back down, 1/2 the stuff will go to the tip and 1/2 will go into the garage, making what I want to keep a lot more accessible.

Hah - you beat me!

I've got Canon EOS Digital CDROMS with 2.12 and 2.14, but nothing earlier.

Cheers
