Comet C/2014 E2 (Jacques) July 27/28

The long tail of Comet C/2014 E2 (Jacques). 2014 July 07 1930UT, 135mm lens at F4, 36 x 20 seconds, Pentax K-5. Tail stretches for nearly 3 degrees. North is left, East is down.

Taken at 5:30am. It's low in the NE about magnitude 7.

Glad you like it Glen. It will move steadily north over the coming days but not get any higher for us in the southern hemisphere unfortunately. At least not until September.
