Q1 Climbers

I took this photo last week as the full moon was rising behind a group of climbers on top of the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise, at 270m the highest external climb in Australia.

I used a Canon 70D DSLR and Saxon 952mm triplet refractor and was 2.5 km away.

I'm late seeing this one Kelvin but very glad I looked. I imagine some fairly serious planning goes into this sort of shot. The human element (climbers) takes it to another level IMHO.

Thanks James - yes a great deal of planning and location scouting has gone into getting these - particularly as Photopills elevation data (or more specifically the data it gets from 3rd parties) is inaccurate at the shooting location. Timing the climbers to be up there is next-level difficult !
