Abell 23
Abell 23 is another planetary that I was asked to image to see if it had a halo. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of a halo but it's quite a pretty looking object nevertheless and it's rather surprising that it's rarely if ever imaged.
Cheers
Steve

That is a cute little PN. Nicely done, Steve
I presume it's a target from Sakib? We've been capturing data at SRO on a very faint SNR he suggested for months. Just trying to process it now...
Cheers,
Rick.

Wow, not much bigger angle-wise than Jupiter. Well done.

Thanks Rick. Yes it's another Sakib suggestion. Had it on my plate for a while now.

Thanks Colin. It's not that tiny as planetaries go but I guess it's all relative.

Thanks Paul. I binned everything 2x2 so I could get it done quickly. I may possibly go back and get some high-res luminance if the weather cooperates.

Thanks Marcus. Haven't quite finished with this one yet so a new version might be forthcoming.
