Comet Master 16th May 2015

Finally a clear sky in Hobart. I got a look at comet C/2015 G2 Master.
About 6:30 local time the sky is dark enough to find and see it.
The comet was at the edge of visibility in my finder scope, and obvious fuzz ball with the 8" newtonian. There was a point like nucleus surrounded by a compact round coma. I suspect the coma as not being quite round one side fanned out a little (maybe maybe).

So a guesstimate of brightness is about 5th mag

On the 19th is will pass with a degree of the globular cluster M79. It will be the brighter of the two fuzzballs.

Southern comets has a finder chart.
