Globular Cluster NGC6752

Globs are a great object to image between other targets if you are waiting for them to rise as they are so bright.
NGC6752 is one of the prettiest globs, ice colour variation in the stars, the old yellow/golden stars, younger hot blue stars and some cool red carbon stars.

CDK17, Proline 16803, AP1600. 30 minutes each channel with 5 minute subs LRGB.

Cheers Marc. It's been one of my favourite globs.

That looks pretty good Greg it has a really intense, bright inner core this one...surely there is a black hole in there?

I don't what's changed in the way you are processing images lately, but keep doing it! ....as that's a cracker of a result as well.

Nice one

Yes it is a very bright core. I took 300 second exposures for this because of that and measured the brightness of a sub before I committed to it.
As to a black hole in their, its a bit like a Wombats dugout - would you stick your head inside and look around? There must be one otherwise whats holding it all together so tightly packed?

Thanks. More of a minimalist approach really.

Sometime less is more.
With me usually after two shots of espresso it's here comes the deconvolution.

Hehehe. Yes decon has its uses. I think there are camera setups where decon works better like undersampled I think it is. You have more data per pixel to play with.

I know we can't always get good conditions so its more likely to be a lifeline from weaker seeing or different size stars in LRGB.

Martin seems very good at decon on his detailed galaxy shots.

Greg.
