Still, by the time you factor in their field flattener at $285, the WO Star 71 is probably the better imaging scope, both FPL-53 but is faster to boot (for an extra US$100)

Depends how big your pockets are

Unless my internet detective skills are getting rusty, I'm not seeing their specs...besides focal length and weight (3lbs). The WO is heavier but will have a flat field...and gulps 40% more light

Jus sayin!

Everybody always talks about the cool-down times of Newts and Casses, but at least they're instant-on

I've got my eye on the SVR102T-25SV. I have almost 100% certainty it will be my next scope.

They have a special on this scope just now. Free 2" diagonal and reduced shipping (free shipping in US, reduced overseas).

I will be extremely jealous if you buy one!

That's a lot of money for a finder scope...

Cheers
Steffen.

I'm going to use it for Astrophotography and visual. The focuser unscrews so it will be airtravel carry on luggage size. I'll take it with me to Hawaii in a couple years.

I'm not buying it now even if it is on special at the moment. Probably wont get it for a nearly a year if I'm honest. I want that lightweight carbon fiber too. Its sooo pretty.

Nice one. In case you're not aware, the M2 can take an encoder kit from JMI, should that be of interest.

Apparently the first run of the SV60 apo will be completed in around 30 days. Looking forward to some reports, even though I bought the SV66ED instead.

The scope will begin shipping next week. It's been re-named the SV60EDS.
