Optical Isolators for SBIG cameras

Some time ago, there was an issue with ST-7/8 SBIGs and Losmandy mounts requiring the insertion of an optical isolator circuit in the I2C cable to the guideport.
Does anyone know whether there was/is a similar issue with Synta EQ6 HEQ5pro etc mounts?

You don't need an isolater between a SBIG camera and an EQ6
