DMK51 what am I doing wrong

I connect my 51 to my laptop and I get live view and by moving the camera around I can see change in light depending where I point it, so I know it is working.
I then connect it to my solar scope and nothing, it says I've lost connection.

??????????????

If using on USB 3, it will only run at half the frame rate, there are posts regarding this issue on the Imaging source website.

Gus I tried on both USB and USB3 and it is totally clouded over this morning.

I'll try on a small refractor on a land based object later.

Ok got it working on USB, I focused it on a mountain top, now just have to wait till the sun comes out to try on the solar scope.
