What is this?

Hi. Can anyone identify this piece? It does thread into my Canon DSLR but seems strangely shaped at the non thread end.

Dom,
That’s a Skywatcher 1.25” to T thread adaptor.
The T thread should fit your camera T2 adaptor.
The wedge shape on the 1.25” section is supposed to give more secure fitment with the thumbscrews.

some of the skywatcher or saxon fo users had cone shaped fitments, i had a 2.5” focuser whereby the 2” nosepiece was shaped exactly the same as yours
