Mesu 200 has arrived!

Hi
My Mesu 200 has arrived...

Left The Netherlands last Saturday, arrived in Geelong this morning. Awaiting arrival of a friend to help me lift it out of the transport crate and fit it to my pier.

Fortunately the mounting plate supplied by Mesu is the same diameter as the plate on the top of my pier. A simple rats cage about 100mm high will lift it to the appropriate height.

Can't wait to fire it up.

cheers
gary

Niiiice Gary.

You should be able to get some really good pictures with that. Would be interested in what the results are when it's up and running.

Congratulations! Look forward to see it out and imaging. For any steam punk fanatic they've got to be the sexiest mount ever made

Thanks guys.

The mount is now fitted to the pier, though I need to make a couple of extra counterweights. Will post pics as soon as they are completed.

The mount is incredibly simple in design, so simple that I wonder why no one else has used similar solutions.
cheers

Will do a full review after I've had a chance to evaluate it.

Have just finished making an extra 2 5kg counterweights. Need to set up electronics, ccd etc and polar align. Weather has been &*^%*&^ in Geelong for a while, so may be a week or two before I have evaluated the performance.

At this point I am VERY happy with what I see so far. Dealing with Lucas was absolutely fine. Will give more detail when I do a full write up.

cheers
Gary
