Ic 4603 Hyperstar

Hi Everyone,

This is not an impressionist painting made on Earth rather somehow God in the heavens seems to have his own thoughts of amazing colour so vividly vast it simply cannot be understood. This nebulous region is rich in Carbon chemistry and massive dust fields that are intense and illuminated by nearby stars and only 440 light years away. Some of these stars are very young hidden behind dark mysterious clouds. No other picture I have taken has so many colours in the one screen. If you look carefully it seems the middle section looks like a face sleeping peacefully on its side. Whose face, only God can tell us that one day.

Captured on Celestron 9.25 HD EDGE with Hyperstar
120 exposures X 120 seconds
Gain at 13 and Offset on 10
QHY 168C Color
-20 Degrees
100 Darks
No Bias
40 Flats

High resolution image

I spent 3 hours trying to collimate my Hyperstar which was a lot of agony, I managed to get it right but the stars are still elongated slightly. Then i called Starizona and they said that there is every possibility that my corrector plate could be out. Dean at Starizona gave me some clues how to do the adjustment but after looking and taking some screws apart It seems too complex.

I will just have to put up with it.

hope you all like the image

Thanks JA, This is by far my best photo and the colors are amazing, initially I thought it was gradient and then discovered it was real. So i never used gradientxterminator on it. I used a little HLVG to remove some of the green cast. Most of the processing was with photoshop. Just need to collimate my Hyperstar further which is taking time to get the stars round.
